In this day and age, with video content being the current trend to share architectural knowledge, reading books seems to be an activity that has been 'archived'. Digital content can be a value add in most of the academic disciplines but in architecture, the experience gained through books is irreplaceable.
I'm introducing a 'Book Review' series primarily to motivate my peers to indulge in reading and similarly document their work and experiences for the generations to come. I've always enjoyed reading books and I read all the more now, to benefit from the invaluable experiences shared by those who inspire me.
I was fortunate, to have access to a great collection of books, written by Rob Krier, Charles Jencks and Aldo Rossi to name a few.

The books in this picture, are from the personal collection of Late Architect Sanjay Madhukar, alumnus of MIT SA+P Boston, USA. Sanjay uncle, was my dad's classmate and best friend during under-graduation. I fondly treasure his book collection handed over to me by his wife, Sangeetha aunty who is also an architect and my dad's classmate at college. To share this collection and many more books with you all, I will feature them one by one in this series.
